Castello di Neive is an estate owned by the Stupino family. The first bottle preserved in the cellar bearing the Barbaresco name dates to 1937. In 1963, Giacomo and Domenico Stupino purchased the castle and part of its land, and in 1964, the first bottle labeled with the Castello di Neive brand featured the Santo Stefano cru. In 1976, Italo Stupino initiated a clonal selection project for Arneis, and in 2001, Italo took over complete management after sharing it with his brother Giulio and sisters Anna and Piera. The estate encompasses 27 hectares of vineyards out of almost 60 hectares of total property, using sustainable practices. Production occurs in two locations in Neive: a historic cellar for oak aging and a modern technical cellar. In 1997, renovations introduced steel tanks with automated pump-over systems, and Slavonian oak casks were replaced with French oak barrels. Its wines include Barbaresco Gallina and Barbera d'Alba with no added sulfites.
On VinoVoss, Castello di Neive has 8 wines in stock: 7 red, 1 white. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 200 ratings.
