Battle of Bosworth began in 1970 as a privately owned family business. Its history started at Grange Farm (circa 1850), originally a stone fruit and almond farm before becoming home to Peter and Anthea Bosworth in the 1970s, who converted the orchard to vineyards. Joch Bosworth took over management in 1995, and the business is privately owned and family-run by Joch Bosworth and partner Louise Hemsley-Smith. The property is located in Willunga, McLaren Vale, South Australia, in the southern foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges at 130 meters above sea level, and Edgehill Vineyard was established in the late 1970s. Farming is organic and sustainable without synthetic chemicals, fertilizers, or GMOs, with Australian Certified Organic and Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certifications. Through traditional and modern vinification techniques, its wines include vegan and preservative-free wines where possible.
