Mitolo

Mitolo is a wine producer drawing fruit from southern McLaren Vale, and it made its first Shiraz in 2000. Its first Cabernet Sauvignon followed two years later. Frank Mitolo cites his grandfather, a viticulturist, and his father, a farmer and wine lover, as influences. In 2021, Luke Mallaby joined Mitolo as winemaker after twenty years working in regions including Barossa Valley, Yarra Valley, Rheinhessen and Santa Barbara.

The fruit comes almost exclusively from vineyards in the southern McLaren Vale districts of Sellicks Hill and Aldinga, including the sub-district of Whites Valley. Its wines include the 2021 G.A.M. Shiraz.
