1006 is an urban winery in Angers making wines from the Loire Valley. Its viticulture is certified organic, and winemaking involves manual harvesting, slow pressing, and spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentations. Its wines include Marine, made from Melon de Bourgogne from a parcel in Vertou in Muscadet, where the Folle Blanche parcel for Minuit is also located. In Anjou, Azur comes from Chenin Blanc on the carboniferous plateau of Ardenay at Chaudefonds-sur-Layon, while Majorelle comes from Grolleau Noir in Juigné-sur-Loire. The range also includes Smalt, from Sauvignon Blanc parcels in Controis-en-Sologne in Touraine Cheverny, and Indigo, from a Gamay St Romain parcel at an altitude of 450 metres in Marcilly-le-Châtel in Côtes du Forez.
