This Barolo presents a garnet hue with a translucent edge, indicative of its Nebbiolo heritage. The bouquet unfolds with layers of dried rose petals, red cherry, and anise, underpinned by a subtle earthiness. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied yet elegant, with firm, well-integrated tannins providing a robust structure. The acidity is vibrant, balancing the wine's rich fruit core and enhancing its longevity. The finish is long and complex, with notes of dried herbs and a whisper of leather. A quintessential expression of Barolo, this wine promises further evolution with cellaring.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

Vietti Barolo is crafted from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the renowned Barolo region in Piedmont, Italy. The vineyards benefit from a continental climate with distinct seasonal variations, contributing to the wine's complexity. Traditional winemaking techniques include fermentation in stainless steel tanks followed by aging in oak barrels, which enhances structure and depth. This Barolo is known for its robust character, featuring firm tannins and balanced acidity. It offers flavors of dark fruit and earthy undertones, making it suitable for aging. Ideal for those who appreciate a classic, structured red wine with potential for long-term cellaring.
