Graceful and elegant Assyrtiko from Wines of Greece, perfectly suited to my smooth palate. The 4-month lees treatment has yielded a concentrated and gentle texture, with a enjoyable mouthfeel that fills the palate. The wine's minerality is generously provided, with a pronounced flinty quality and a whisper of saltiness. The tail is long and satisfying, with a delightful seamlessness of crispness and texture. A true delight for those who appreciate the nuances of this Greek white wine.

Crisp and zesty wine with a well integrated minerality that pairs well with seafood, significantly in a lively setting like Milos in New York.

What the web is saying

Venetsanos Santorini is praised for its crisp citrus and minerality, with flavors of green pear, lemon, and apple. Many appreciate its refreshing, zesty character and seamless texture, while some find it lacks standout qualities on its own. The wine pairs well with seafood and has a long, satisfying finish, making it a delightful choice for those who enjoy Greek white wines.

Voss Experts4.0

This Venetsanos Santorini Assyrtiko is a bright and vibrant white wine, with aromas of citrus, honey and floral notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-balanced, with flavors of green apple, pear, lemon zest and white pepper. The finish is long and smooth, with a hint of minerality. Overall, this is a well-crafted wine that shows the unique characteristics of the Assyrtiko grape from the volcanic soils of Santorini.
