Thymiopoulos ATMA Assyrtiko is praised for its bright citrus and mineral notes, with a refreshing and zesty profile. While some find it rich and full-bodied with a satisfying finish, others note a lack of complexity and a brief aftertaste. It pairs well with seafood and salads, offering good value for its price. The wine's minerality and acidity are consistently highlighted by reviewers.
This Assyrtiko from Thymiopoulos presents a luminous pale straw hue, indicative of its youthful vibrancy. The nose is a precise interplay of citrus blossom, green apple, and a whisper of saline minerality, hallmarking its Greek terroir. On the palate, it unfolds with a taut, linear structure, showcasing a vibrant acidity that seamlessly integrates with flavors of lemon zest and wet stone. The mid-palate is textured yet elegant, leading to a crisp, mineral-driven finish that echoes with a subtle hint of white pepper. This wine exemplifies the Assyrtiko varietal's potential for finesse and complexity.
