Decent selection of Sicilian wines, with a strong tartness that aligns with expectations. The Valle Dell'acate label is a reputable one, and the wines in this range are generally well-regarded. A solid option for those craving a good Sicilian wine.
Trr
Decent catch, but not a standout. The light and semi-sweet semi-dry layers worked well with the seafood, but the all around experience was merely satisfactory. though it wouldn't be a repeat in its current setting, it would be a comforting highlight in a different atmosphere.
Robison
A rich, full-bodied wine with a deep, medium brick red hue. Its flavor profile is outlined by blackberry and blueberry notes, with a smooth, rounded texture and a vibrant acidity. The tannins are medium in strength, and the aftertaste is slightly saline. Overall, a well-balanced and pleasing wine.

Valle dell'Acate Bellifolli Nero d'Avola is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with blackberry, black cherry, and plum notes. It offers a smooth, velvety texture and well-balanced acidity. While some find it a sophisticated and harmonious wine, others note a lack of standout qualities. Its earthy, leathery aromas and medium tannins make it suitable for pairing with Italian dishes.
This Sicilian gem presents a deep ruby hue, indicative of its robust character. The nose is a harmonious blend of ripe black cherry and plum, intertwined with subtle notes of Mediterranean herbs and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, it reveals a full-bodied structure with velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides balance and elegance. The mid-palate is enriched with layers of dried fig and a whisper of anise, leading to a long, mineral-driven finish. This Nero d'Avola exemplifies the quintessential expression of Sicilian terroir, offering both complexity and approachability.
