Voss Expert tasting note

This intriguing orange wine showcases a captivating amber hue, indicative of its extended skin contact. The nose is an aromatic tapestry of lychee, rose petal, and orange blossom, underscored by a subtle hint of ginger spice. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure with a vibrant acidity that enlivens the complex layers of apricot, white tea, and a touch of honeyed nuttiness. The finish is long and textured, with a gentle grip that speaks to its tannic backbone. This Gewürztraminer stands as a compelling example of the skin-contact style, offering both depth and elegance.

This orange wine is crafted from Gewürztraminer grapes, known for their aromatic profile, grown in a region influenced by a temperate climate. The wine undergoes skin-contact fermentation, which imparts its distinctive orange hue and enhances its aromatic complexity. Fermentation is completed in stainless steel tanks to preserve the grape's natural floral and spice notes. The resulting wine offers a fresh, fruit-forward expression with a balanced acidity, making it an intriguing choice for those exploring the orange wine category. Ideal for those who appreciate a vibrant and aromatic style with a touch of astringency.
