Lingering farewell to a cherished bottle, but one that still holds its charm. The final night was a warm one, and the Coleraine was a perfect accompaniment. Decanted for a while, and the colour began to fade, but the fragrance remained unchanged. The nose was a masterclass in perfumed cassis and blackcurrants, with cedar, leather, and tobacco notes that transported me back to a bygone era. The palate was deep and effortless, with a satisfying savoury quality that lingered on. It's clear that this wine still has a long life ahead of it, and I highly recommend it to anyone who still has stocks.
