Crisp and fruity wine that is easy to drink, with a generous amount of red fruit flavors.

Decadent and textured wine with a bold, spicy character that dominates the nose. The blackberry nuances are primarily pronounced, suggesting a first-growth vintage. I would be eager to revisit this wine in the future.

What the web is saying

Plani Arche Montefalco Rosso is praised for its elegant and nuanced charm, with a rich, full-bodied profile. It features red fruit, blackberry, and plum flavors, complemented by oak and forest floor notes. While some appreciate its bold, spicy character, others enjoy its smooth, polished finish. The wine's complexity and integration make it a favorite, though opinions on its intensity vary.

Voss Experts4.5

Plani Arche Montefalco Rosso delivers a nose of ripe red berries, cherries, and plums, accompanied by hints of dried herbs and spices. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with grippy tannins and a well-balanced acidity. The flavors of dark cherries, blackberries, and plum taking center stage. These fruit flavors are complemented by nuances of black tea, tomato leaf, and a touch of vanilla from oak aging. The finish is taut and focussed, driven by acidity and marked by crunchy red fruit flavors.
