Prunotto Barolo Bussia 2020

Prunotto Barolo Bussia is praised for its rich, full-bodied texture and complex flavors, including cherry, leather, and forest floor. While some find its tannins smooth and well-integrated, others note a lack of backbone in certain vintages. The wine's aging potential and nuanced profile are frequently highlighted, making it a favorite for special occasions. However, some reviews mention unexpected acidity and a relatively small body in certain years.

This Barolo from Prunotto is a classic example of the region's signature style. Aromas and flavors of ripe cherry, raspberry, leather, forest floor, and earthy truffle mingle on the generous and inviting nose. On the palate, the wine offers a well-structured core of red and black fruits, with hints of baking spices, licorice, and tar. The tannins are ripe, yet firm and the finish is long and lingering with an elegant hint of vanilla. Enjoy this wine now, or cellar it for the next decade.
