A deep garnet hue introduces this Virginia Cabernet Franc, where the nose is a harmonious blend of ripe red currants, black cherries, and a hint of bell pepper, underscored by subtle cedar and graphite nuances. On the palate, the wine reveals a medium-bodied structure with finely grained tannins and a vibrant acidity that carries flavors of plum and forest floor leaf through to a lingering, peppery finish. This wine exemplifies the varietal's potential in the region, offering a balance of fruit and savory complexity that aligns with the classic Loire Valley style, yet with a distinct New World flair.

Venelin
Deep nose with a mix of fruit and spice notes, featuring pomegranate, cherry, and blackberry, cohesive by a delicate cocoa undertone. The tannins are well-integrated, adding density and profile to the wine, even as the tanginess provides a bracing contrast. The winery's 15-month aging in 60% new oak and 40% neutral oak adds a rich, smooth touch to the wine. A well-balanced and subtle wine with a long finish.
Pky Funn
Layered and curious wine with a rich, earthy character, paired by a elegant peppery nuance. The flavor is substantial, with spicy pepper nuances adding layers and warmth.
Ska
Intricate and exciting blend of flavors, with a dominant structure of inky fruit, enhanced by gentle nuances of cherry and pepper, creating a bold and layered profile.

Pollak Cabernet Franc is praised for its rich, complex flavors of cherry, blackberry, and pepper, with well-integrated tannins and a smooth finish. While some appreciate its earthy undertones and oak influence, others find the oak overpowering. The wine's balance of acidity and fruit is often highlighted, with a consistent, elegant profile across vintages. However, its lean body and tartness may not appeal to all.
