Voss Expert tasting note
The bouquet is a symphony of red cherry, dried rose petals, and anise, underscored by hints of forest floor and a whisper of leather.

Orlando Abrigo Barbaresco: A Timeless Italian Red Wine discovery
Hager
A respectable alternative to the 2006 Rongalio Riserva, but a wine that doesn't quite live up to its esteemed predecessor. as the 2009 vintage is not the best on offer, it still offers a satisfying exploring experience. As a second-generation producer in Treiso, Abrigo's wines are a welcome addition to the region's offerings. A new winery in one of the best spots in Langhe is a major plus. and yet the 2009 is not the best vintage, it still has a certain charm. Overall, it's a solid selection for those looking for a good value.

This Barbaresco offers a complex profile of leather, forest floor, and cherry notes with firm tannins, praised for its full-bodied structure and aging potential. While some vintages (particularly 2009 and 2014) show herbaceous qualities and variable consistency, it remains valued for food pairings with red meats. Reviews highlight both rustic charm and polished textures, though critics note occasional lack of backbone in younger vintages.
This Barbaresco presents a garnet hue with a translucent rim, indicative of its evolving maturity. The bouquet is a symphony of red cherry, dried rose petals, and anise, underscored by hints of forest floor and a whisper of leather. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious structure, with fine-grained tannins supporting a core of ripe red fruit and savory spice. The acidity is vibrant, providing lift and precision, while the finish is long and resonant, echoing notes of dried herbs and mineral nuances. A quintessential expression of Nebbiolo, poised for further aging.
