Mooiplaas Wine Estate Bush Vines Chenin Blanc is praised for its harmonious blend of honey melon, ripe peach, and tropical fruit notes. It offers a zesty, crisp profile with a clean finish, though some find it lacks a lasting impression. While some appreciate its buttery mouthfeel and complexity, others note a slightly unbalanced character. Overall, it's a refreshing choice with a lively acidity and minerality.
A luminous straw hue introduces this Chenin Blanc, offering a bouquet of ripe quince, honeysuckle, and a whisper of flint. On the palate, it reveals a harmonious interplay of vibrant acidity and a textured, medium-bodied mouthfeel, enriched by notes of baked apple and subtle almond. The wine's minerality is underscored by a saline edge, leading to a lingering, citrus-infused finish. Exemplifying the distinctive terroir of Stellenbosch, this Chenin Blanc is a benchmark for South African expressions, showcasing both finesse and depth, suitable for immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring.
