This Barolo from Mauro Molino offers an intense and complex array of aromas and flavors. On the nose, ripe cherry, plum, tar, leather, earth, and baking spices come together to form an aromatic explosion. On the palate, this wine offers a full-bodied and velvety texture with flavors of black cherry, leather, forest floor, and dried herbs. The tannins are firm yet supple, and the finish is long and lingering. Enjoy this wine now or cellar it for a few more years to experience its full potential.

Peruv
Barolo from this producer, despite a poor vintage, exhibits a decadent character with touches of cherries, viol, herbs, and earth. The palate is dry and medium-bodied, with a range of layers bringing red cherries, leather, tobacco, camphor, liquorice, and oak. The tannins are tight, but the broadly structure is lacking in structure and depth. A wine that could be improved with a better vintage.
Hyein Yoscovits
A complex and engaging wine with a rough, unpolished exterior, revealing a opulent and layered interior. The tones of sour plums, cherry, and tobacco are expertly balanced, in contrast a wisp of freshness persists on the palate. The tannins are well-integrated, adding intensity and profile to the wine. Aged for 4+ years, the wine has mellowed significantly, revealing a smoother, more balanced character.
Dae-Ik
A rich, full-bodied wine with a velvety touch and a lingering finish, the 2013 Barolo is a masterclass in structure and complexity, with a nuanced touch of bitterness and a gratifying dryness that leaves the taste feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Mauro Molino Barolo is praised for its rich, complex flavors, including cherry, leather, and earthy notes. While some find the tannins well-integrated, others feel they are too tight. The wine is often described as full-bodied and opulent, with a smooth finish. However, some vintages lack depth and structure. Overall, it's a well-regarded choice for those seeking a robust and layered wine experience.
