Matthews Reserve Sauvignon Blanc

Matthews Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is praised for its graceful blend of citrus, tropical, and herbaceous notes, offering a smooth texture. While some appreciate its rich floral profile with honey and green apple, others highlight its zesty grapefruit finish. The wine is noted for its intricate and nuanced character, with fermentation in concrete vessels adding a delicate texture. Opinions vary on its dryness and bracing acidity.

This Sauvignon Blanc presents a luminous pale straw hue, offering an aromatic bouquet of vibrant gooseberry, lime zest, and freshly cut grass, underscored by subtle flinty minerality. On the palate, the wine is impeccably structured, with a crisp, linear acidity that accentuates its citrus and green apple core. A whisper of white peach adds depth, while the mid-palate reveals a delicate hint of wet stone. The finish is long and precise, with a refreshing salinity that speaks to its terroir. This wine exemplifies the finesse and clarity typical of premium Washington State Sauvignon Blancs.
