Wine's character is often shaped by its initial impression, and this particular bottle was no exception. while it had a certain... je ne sais quoi, it was also rather... acidic and tight, to say the least. Nevertheless, it possessed a certain je ne sais quoi, a certain charm that belied its rough edges. It was a Beaujolais Cru Gamay, through and through, with a fruity, full-bodied body that was both amiable and robust. The nose was a masterclass in complexity, with a heady perfume that was both sweet and subtle, like a robust perfume. The follow through was long and satisfying, with a light accent of spice and a dry, bright tail that left the palate feeling refreshed and revitalized.
