This Grand Cru Champagne from Le Mesnil sur Oger dazzles with its pale straw hue and persistent, fine mousse. The nose unfolds with an elegant bouquet of brioche, crushed almonds, and white blossoms, underscored by a whisper of chalky minerality. On the palate, it delivers a precise and vibrant structure, showcasing layers of green apple, lemon zest, and a touch of quince. The acidity is brisk yet harmoniously integrated, leading to a refined, lingering finish with hints of saline and toasted hazelnuts. Le Mesnil Prestige Millésime Champagne Grand Cru is praised for its rich complexity, featuring flavors of apple, pear, citrus, and toasted nuts. Its lively effervescence and creamy texture are appreciated, though some find it overly acidic. The wine pairs well with seafood and cheeses, with a long, satisfying finish. While some vintages are noted for their aging potential, others may not improve further.
