Tasting highlight
The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh fruit flavors, followed by a period of aging in oak barrels to introduce subtle spice and structure.

The 2018 Lano Gianluigi Langhe Lanöt presents a deep garnet hue, indicative of its robust character. On the nose, it reveals a layered bouquet of ripe black cherry, dried herbs, and a hint of earthy minerality, underscored by subtle notes of cedar and anise. The palate is a harmonious blend of concentrated dark fruit and savory elements, supported by firm, well-integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that lends structure and elegance. The finish is long and complex, echoing the wine's aromatic depth. This wine exemplifies the nuanced expression of the Langhe terroir, offering both immediate appeal and potential for further aging.

Maryvonne Massardi
Luscious and herbaceous wine with a gentle texture, expressing the best of the season's deep fruit and aromatic thyme/rosemary. The medium body is well-balanced, with a bracing brightness and firm tannins, making it a fabulous recommendation for sipping on its own or pairing with a variety of dishes. A truly satisfying experience, especially when enjoyed with the Domestique wine club's June 2021 selection.
