Layered and interesting wine with a spicy front note that gradually gives way to a floral finish.

Rich, mellow smoothness with a deep, mysterious hue, evoking the essence of ripe, opulent fruits, in contrast a complex nose of smoky, spicy, and herbal notes unfolds, accompanied by a luscious, succulent mouthfeel, featuring a rich, licorice-infused entry, paired by nuanced spice and a suggestion of warmth, harmonious by a lively brightness and a firm, dry finish, with a lingering, dusty tannin presence, making this wine a true connoisseur's choice, tailored for aging and developing its full nuance over time.

Sophisticated and mature wine with a rich, silky texture and a deep, bold fruit profile, cohesive by a smooth, sweet finish.

What the web is saying

Keenan Mernet Reserve is praised for its rich, full-bodied texture and complex flavors, featuring deep fruit, spices, and a smooth finish. While some appreciate its sophisticated blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, others find it lacks depth. Common notes include blackberry, vanilla, and licorice, with well-integrated tannins. It's a wine that rewards aging, offering a long, satisfying finish, though some critique its price point.

Voss Experts4.8

This Keenan Mernet Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is deep, dark, and mysterious. On the nose, aromas of dark cherry and black currant mingle with hints of cedar, cigar box, and sweet spice. The palate is full-bodied and well-structured, with flavors of ripe blackberry and black cherry, followed by clove, coffee, and a hint of licorice. The tannins are firm but balanced, and the finish is long and satisfying. Enjoy this wine now or cellar it for up to ten years.
