Jean-Michel Dupré 1935 Vieilles Vignes Morgon 2023

The 1940 vintage is a remarkable achievement, with the 5-year aging process clearly evident in the rich, smooth touch and deep, well-rounded flavors.

Delightful and lean Beaujolais that demonstrates the Gamay grape's characteristic bright notes and crispness, with a elegant yet pleasing tannic backbone that enhances the in total enjoying experience. in contrast it may not be to everyone's taste, it is certainly worth trying for those who appreciate this style of wine.

I allowed the wine to rest for a brief moment before taking a sip. The moment it touched my palate, a burst of pepper exploded on my nose. Thankfully, I was able to catch my breath and avoid a sneeze. As I continued to savor the wine, I noticed a soft sweetness on my tongue, accompanied by a wisp of ripe pear. The wine's mouthfeel was smooth, and I picked up on a few other flavors, comprising fig, date, and a light licorice note. Overall, I was pleased with the wine's fruit-forward character and the way it smooth its body. I appreciate the winemaker's attention to detail in selecting a dry style for this wine. I look forward to returning to Dry Farm Wines in the future.
