This exquisite Côtes du Jura Ouillé from Jean Macle presents a luminous straw hue, indicative of its precision and finesse. The nose is a captivating interplay of green apple, quince, and subtle almond blossom, underscored by a whisper of flinty minerality. Jean Macle Côtes du Jura Ouillé is crafted in the Jura region of eastern France, known for its unique terroir and traditional winemaking. This wine is produced using the ouillé method, where barrels are topped up to prevent oxidation, preserving the wine's fresh character. The blend typically includes Chardonnay and Savagnin grapes, grown in the region's limestone-rich soils. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel or neutral oak, emphasizing purity and minerality. The result is a dry, crisp wine with vibrant acidity and subtle notes of citrus and stone fruit, ideal for those seeking a fresh, authentic Jura experience.
