This exquisite Côtes du Jura Ouillé from Jean Macle presents a luminous straw hue, indicative of its precision and finesse. The nose is a captivating interplay of green apple, quince, and subtle almond blossom, underscored by a whisper of flinty minerality. On the palate, the wine reveals a taut structure, with vibrant acidity seamlessly integrated into its medium body. Layers of lemon curd and hazelnut unfold, leading to a finish marked by a lingering salinity and a touch of white pepper. This wine exemplifies the Jura's unique terroir, offering both complexity and elegance in equal measure.

Jean Macle Côtes du Jura Ouillé is crafted in the Jura region of eastern France, known for its unique terroir and traditional winemaking. This wine is produced using the ouillé method, where barrels are topped up to prevent oxidation, preserving the wine's fresh character. The blend typically includes Chardonnay and Savagnin grapes, grown in the region's limestone-rich soils. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel or neutral oak, emphasizing purity and minerality. The result is a dry, crisp wine with vibrant acidity and subtle notes of citrus and stone fruit, ideal for those seeking a fresh, authentic Jura experience.
