G.D. Vajra Barolo Coste di Rose 2022

Luscious and textured Barolo with a lot of potential, sourced from a leased vineyard since 2015. The nose is noted for by floral notes, and yet the tongue reveals great zest and tannin structure. The tannins need time to integrate and reveal depth, with nuances of menthol, tobacco, and strawberry. The finale is long and satisfying, with a delicate complexity that will only improve with age. A remarkable wine, but one that will only truly shine in 10-20 years.

Smooth and elegant Barolo from the Coste Di Rose sub region, expressing a cohesive harmony of floral and fruit notes, with a silky smoothness and a soft nuance of oak.

Rich, full-bodied red wine with a deep, garnet hue. The nose is driven by by bold, acidic red berry flavors, complemented by delicate undertones of oak and vanilla, evoking the warmth of autumn leaves and a hint of floral nuance. The palate is well-balanced, with a smooth, round smoothness and a delightful acidity, yielding a medium to long finish. The tannins are nicely integrated, providing a fine equilibrium to the wine's fruit-forward characteristics.
