This wine is a monumental and deeply concentrated expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. It erupts from the glass with opulent aromas of crème de cassis, black cherry, and ripe blackberries, intricately layered with notes of dark roast coffee, graphite, and Madagascar vanilla. The palate is full-bodied, dense, and muscular, with a broad, seamless texture that coats the mouth. The powerful fruit is supported by firm, grainy tannins and a remarkable sense of purity, leading to an incredibly long and resonant finish that echoes with mineral and dark chocolate nuances.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

The Warrior is a powerhouse Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Fortunate Son, the celebrated project of Jayson Woodbridge, the iconoclastic founder of Hundred Acre. This wine is crafted with the same meticulous, no-compromise philosophy as its cult-status sibling, sourced from small, single-vineyard, family-owned heritage sites across Napa. The winemaking is lavish and precise, involving berry-by-berry sorting and aging for extended periods in the finest new French oak barriques. The Warrior is designed to be a profound, powerful, and complex expression of Napa Cabernet, embodying intensity and structure.
