This Barolo from Elvio Cogno has a rich and intense nose, with aromas of ripe cherries and blackberries, as well as subtle herbal and spice notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with well-integrated tannins and a long, complex finish. Its powerful structure and high acidity make it a great wine for aging.

Keehyuk
Rich, full-bodied wine with a deep, velvety feel and a nose that's bursting with luscious fruit, such as cherries and plums. The impression is fruit-forward, with firm tannins and a mild spice that persists on the finish, leaving a enjoyable aftertaste.
Jules
The wine's classic Barolo appearance in the glass is a sight to behold, with a nose that's both inviting and complex. Soapy traces and a soft whisper of roses, cherry, and ointment add strength to the bouquet. The tasting is where the magic happens, with spicy suggestions and a dense, fine-grained tannin profile that belies its elegant finish. The broadly depth is impressive, with a med+ aftertaste that stays nicely. A true gem, indeed.
Ricardu
Deep yet red wine with a substantial presence, boasting a full bodied body and skeleton that can withstand its high tanginess and tannin levels. The wine's composition is impressive, with a large body and skeleton that can support its deep character. in contrast it may not be to everyone's taste, its robustness and structural integrity make it a worthwhile experience.

Elvio Cogno Barolo Cascina Nuova is praised for its rich, full-bodied character with notes of cherry, plum, and leather. While some appreciate its firm tannins and complex structure, others find it robust yet elegant. The wine's earthy and floral aromas, along with a smooth finish, are consistently noted. However, a few reviews mention a lack of dimensionality in flavor. Overall, it offers good value and aging potential.
