Tecnelm
Dimensional and intriguing wine with a rich, velvety texture. The initial suggestions of cedar and toast provide a solid foundation, whereas the addition of black cherry and cola creates a sense of body and complexity. The profile is unexpectedly tannic, yet well integrated by a bracing acidity, accompanied by herbaceous and earthy undertones. The finale is long and satisfying, with opaque chocolate and espresso flavors lingering on the palate.
Doog
Polished and balanced red from northwestern Spain, exhibiting a young but promising winery's commitment to biodynamic methods. This blend of mencia, garnacha, mouratón, brancellao, and souson grapes offers a diverse and lively profile, with a focus on ripe black cherry, plum, violet, and oak notes. The wine's structure is enhanced by the body of sweet liquorice, toffee, and fresh herbs, all of which are expertly integrated into a silky and elegant texture. The trail is dry, with a high level of acidity and a supple fine-grained tannin structure. Overall, this is a well-crafted red that is sure to please.
