The Alvaredos Hobbs Mencía 2019 is praised for its decadent, full-bodied nature with bold plum and blackberry flavors, complemented by raspberry and vanilla notes. It is well-balanced and smooth, leaving a bold, fruity finish that lingers, making it an exceptional choice for wine lovers.
A vibrant expression of the Mencía grape, this wine reveals a deep ruby hue, indicative of its concentrated character. The nose is a complex tapestry of red and black cherry, violet, and a hint of earth, underscored by subtle flinty nuances from well-judged oak integration. On the palate, it offers a harmonious blend of ripe red fruit and mineral-driven freshness, supported by finely grained tannins and a lively acidity that ensures a poised structure. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of crushed herbs and a touch of white pepper.
