Lukes
Somewhat unimpressive start, with a damp, cardboard-like quality that sets the tone for a potentially rough ride. However, the cork itself begins to unfurl, releasing a brief moment of clarity before the flavors begin to muddle together. Fortunately, the initial roughness is soon overpowered by the impression of Jenever, a rich, grain-alcoholic note that adds density and complexity. The apricot, ripe yellow fruit, and macerated lemon profiles also emerge, adding a touch of sweetness to the all around impression. The finale is pleasant, with a lingering citrus note that leaves a smooth, rounded impression.
