Voss Expert tasting note

This distinguished Moulin-à-Vent showcases a deep ruby hue, indicative of its concentrated nature. The bouquet is a harmonious blend of ripe black cherry, plum, and violet, underscored by subtle nuances of forest floor and spice. On the palate, the wine reveals a robust structure with finely-grained tannins and a vibrant acidity that provides balance and length. The mid-palate is layered with flavors of dark berries and a hint of minerality, leading to a persistent finish. Sourced from the esteemed Moulin-à-Vent appellation in Beaujolais, this wine is crafted from Gamay grapes grown in granite-rich soils. The vineyard benefits from a continental climate, with warm days and cool nights aiding in the development of balanced acidity and ripe fruit flavors. Traditional winemaking techniques include semi-carbonic maceration, enhancing the wine's aromatic profile. Aged in neutral oak barrels, it maintains a focus on the purity of fruit with subtle earthy undertones. This structured yet approachable wine is ideal for enjoying now or cellaring for added complexity.
