Demarie Roero Riserva 2022

Promising debut from Roero, displaying the region's potential for producing high-quality wines. The Nebbiolo grapes used in this blend are known for their hearty tannins, which contribute to the wine's lively and delightful texture. However, the low fruit level results in a slightly watery appearance, which may be a sign of a still-to-be-reached peak. The wine requires aeration to fully integrate its nuances and aromas. A moderate level of oxygenation is recommended, with the wine opening up significantly after 2-3 hours of exposure.

Rich and dimensional wine with a round texture, featuring nuances of deep fruit and nutty undertones. The sensation is defined by a smooth, buttery texture, with a delicate crunch of oak and a lingering follow through of earthy minerals.

Sophisticated and engaging wine with a dark, intense color. The nose is driven by by a potent mix of rotten rose, sour cherry, and lilac, with a suggestion of olive and mint. The tasting is shaped by a smooth, soft structure and a subtle interplay of black berry, olive, and chalky notes.
