First-time encounter with this winery's offerings, and I'm thoroughly impressed with their whites and reds, both of which showcase a perfect evenness of sweetness and acidity. The medium body and light tannins make for a bright enjoying experience, but the tones of cherry, raspberry, and a hint of sweetness linger pleasantly. A outstanding affordability for money, this wine is a memorable in its class.
Issam Reinsnos
Straightforward Mencía, but its identity remains elusive. The fruit notes are echoing of cherries, with a nutty suggestion and understated undertones of leather. The wine possesses a medium body, accompanied by high acidity, and lacks the necessary symmetry to elevate its profile. Despite its drinkability, it demands either a right accompaniment or a diversional diversion to fully appreciate its characteristics.
Tolonta Hronec
100% Mencia. Blackberry hue. On nose, toasted coffee, cinnamon and smoked notes. On palate, ripe fruit, nice brightness and noble oak presence. Achieving a smooth structure, with a durable finish.

Cuatro Pasos Pizarras de Otero Mencia is appreciated for its rich, fruity flavors of cherry, plum, and raspberry, often accompanied by notes of oak, chocolate, and spices. While some find it well-balanced with a smooth finish, others note its high acidity and lack of complexity. The wine's medium body and soft tannins make it versatile, though some suggest it benefits from aging. Overall, it's a good value wine.
This Mencia from Bierzo reveals a deep ruby hue with violet reflections, indicative of its youthful vibrancy. On the nose, it offers an intricate bouquet of ripe blackberries, crushed violets, and a hint of graphite, underscored by subtle notes of black pepper and anise. The palate is medium-bodied, showcasing a harmonious balance between fresh acidity and fine-grained tannins. Flavors of dark cherry and plum are interwoven with a mineral backbone, leading to a persistent finish with echoes of dried herbs and a touch of cocoa. This wine exemplifies the elegance and complexity of the Bierzo region.
