Voss Expert tasting note
On the nose, it unfolds a bouquet of ripe red cherries and plums, interwoven with nuances of dried herbs and a hint of earthy minerality.

Fabien
Aromas are more pronounced and harmoniously seamless than the palate. Rich, inky fruit flavors, blackcurrant, blackberry, plum, and a accent of spice on the nose. However, the tongue is only medium-bodied, lacking balance. High crispness and bitterness prevail. The finish is red fruit-forward. I had higher expectations from this wine. Unfortunately, I purchased six bottles. I will not recommend it, but I may keep one or two in the cellar to see how they develop over time.
Saranga
Luscious and comforting dish, with a well-balanced flavor profile that offers the quality of the venison. The medium tannins provide a silky and polished texture, though the dry fruits and brassicas add body and complexity.
Vally Mcswain
Cohesive and welcoming wine with a medium body and finish, featuring a gentle and refreshing experience.

Contucci Rosso di Montepulciano offers a mix of experiences. Some vintages, like 2019, are praised for their rich aromas and depth, while others, such as 2018, are criticized for lacking balance and having high bitterness. Commonly noted are red fruit flavors, medium body, and a smooth finish. While some find it a reliable daily drinker, others feel it's not memorable. Overall, it provides a varied experience.
This Rosso di Montepulciano presents a vibrant ruby hue, indicative of its youthful vitality. On the nose, it unfolds a bouquet of ripe red cherries and plums, interwoven with nuances of dried herbs and a hint of earthy minerality. The palate is medium-bodied, showcasing a harmonious balance between its bright acidity and supple tannins, which provide a refined structure. Flavors of juicy berries and subtle spice lead to a lingering finish, marked by a touch of savory complexity. This wine exemplifies the approachable yet sophisticated nature of Montepulciano, offering a delightful expression of its terroir.
