Nuanced pairing of American and French chardonnays yielded a rich, creamy, and oaky experience, with a notable emphasis on butter and vanilla notes. while it was not a standout, it was a satisfying and lean complement to the petit chablis, making it a ideal selection for a dinner gathering on holiday.

What the web is saying

Chateau Souverain Chardonnay is praised for its rich, creamy texture with notes of butter, oak, and tropical fruits like pineapple and pear. While some find it smooth and well-balanced, others feel it lacks depth and complexity. The wine's versatility makes it suitable for various pairings, though its sweetness and occasional overpowering oak can be divisive. Overall, it offers good value for its price.

Voss Experts3.8

This Chateau Souverain Chardonnay is a full-bodied, creamy, and deeply satisfying white wine. On the nose, aromas of lemon zest, ripe golden apple, and pear are complemented by hints of butter, toasted oak, and crème brûlée. On the palate, flavors of ripe golden apple, lemon curd, and honey are balanced by a silky texture and a long, lingering finish. Enjoy this Chardonnay with creamy pasta dishes, roasted chicken, or a cheese plate.
