Rich, full-bodied wine with a deep, dense color. The essence is complex, with layers of old oak, leather, and tobacco, and traces of cassis, plum, and violet. As the wine opens, the flavors unfold, revealing a creamy nuance and a light finish.

Château Calon-Ségur Saint-Estèphe is celebrated for its rich, full-bodied profile with deep fruit flavors, oak, and forest floor notes. While some appreciate its complexity and aging potential, others find certain vintages lacking in depth. The wine's smooth tannins and elegant finish are consistently praised, making it a favorite for special occasions. However, a few reviews note a decline in quality over time, suggesting careful selection of vintages.
This Château Calon-Ségur Saint-Estèphe (Grand Cru Classé) is a deep and intense red wine that delivers a wealth of dark fruit and spice aromas, along with hints of leather, forest floor and earthy minerals. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich and powerful, with a firm structure and velvety tannins that carry through to a long and persistent finish. A classic Bordeaux, this wine is a great example of the region's terroir, and a perfect accompaniment to a range of dishes.
