What the web is saying

Catena Alta Malbec is celebrated for its rich, full-bodied profile, featuring deep fruit flavors like blackberry and plum, complemented by oak, chocolate, and vanilla notes. While many appreciate its smooth tannins and complex layers, some find it requires aging to reach its full potential. It's a versatile wine, pairing well with meats and cheeses, though a few reviews mention a harshness in younger vintages.

The Catena Alta Malbec from Argentina's Mendoza region is a bold and powerful expression of Malbec. On the palate, it displays intense aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, and black cherry, with underlying layers of dark chocolate, espresso, and spice. The tannins are robust, giving the wine a full-bodied feel and a long finish. Its complexity and intensity make it an ideal pairing for grilled red meats, stews, and aged cheeses.
