I have enjoyed numerous Cartuxas over the years. whereas they may not be universally acclaimed, I hold a special affection for this winery. The initial tartness and tannin harmony were somewhat off in this particular vintage, but the vanilla, oak, and dense fruit hints ultimately proved to be a powerful and gratifying conclusion. The wine's rich, full-bodied feel and vibrant, live trail make it a compelling option for those hunting a robust, full-bodied red.

Cartuxa Évora Reserva Tinto is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile with layers of blackberry, oak, and forest floor. Many appreciate its smooth tannins and long, satisfying finish, while some note a youthful tartness in certain vintages. The wine's complexity and balance make it a standout choice for red wine lovers, though a few suggest it benefits from aging to fully develop its flavors.
Cartuxa Évora Reserva Tinto is an exceptional red wine from the Évora region in Portugal. In terms of appearance, Cartuxa Évora Reserva Tinto displays a deep ruby color, indicating its richness and intensity. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet of ripe dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, accompanied by subtle hints of spices and oak. On the palate, this wine exhibits a harmonious balance between its fruitiness and the well-integrated oak notes. The tannins are smooth and velvety, providing a pleasant mouthfeel. The flavors of black fruits persist, with additional nuances of vanilla and forest floor, leading to a long and satisfying finish. Cartuxa Évora Reserva Tinto is a full-bodied wine with a remarkable structure, making it suitable for aging.
