Canard Vineyard Throwback 2022

Canard Vineyard Throwback is praised for its rich, full-bodied profile and complex flavors, including plum, forest floor, and leather. While some appreciate its smooth tannins and balanced fruit, others note a dry, puckering finish. The wine's nose often features floral and fruity notes, with whispers of oak and smokiness. Overall, it's a well-rounded wine with a sophisticated character, though opinions on its structure vary.

A deep garnet hue introduces this Napa Valley classic, where a bouquet of ripe blackcurrant and dark cherry intertwines with hints of cedar and graphite. The palate is a harmonious blend of plush, velvety tannins and vibrant acidity, offering a robust structure that supports layers of cassis, plum, and subtle herbaceous undertones. The mid-palate reveals a touch of mocha and a whisper of anise, leading to a long, elegant finish with a mineral edge. This wine exemplifies the quintessential Napa style, showcasing both power and finesse, and promises graceful aging potential.
