The Bellula Chardonnay presents a luminous straw hue, indicative of its youthful vibrancy. On the nose, it exudes a refined bouquet of ripe pear, white peach, and a whisper of honeysuckle, seamlessly interwoven with subtle nuances of toasted almond and delicate vanilla from judicious oak aging. The palate is elegantly structured, showcasing a harmonious balance between its creamy texture and a lively, citrus-driven acidity. This interplay culminates in a persistent finish, marked by a mineral undertone that speaks to its terroir. A quintessential expression of Chardonnay, offering both complexity and finesse, ideal for immediate enjoyment or short-term cellaring.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.

Bellula Chardonnay hails from the sun-drenched vineyards of the Languedoc region in southern France, where the Mediterranean climate imparts a ripe fruit character. This wine is crafted in a modern style, with fermentation taking place in stainless steel tanks to preserve its fresh, vibrant fruit profile. Partial malolactic fermentation adds a creamy texture, while a touch of oak aging introduces subtle vanilla and spice notes. The result is a well-balanced Chardonnay with bright acidity, making it an ideal choice for those who appreciate a harmonious blend of fruit and finesse.
