Unified blend of juniper and banana, with a zesty conclusion and a trace of green apple, making this wine a superb in its category. The Falanghina grape provides a clean and refreshing base, and yet the juniper adds a nuanced yet distinctive note. A remarkable investment for the price, this wine is a must-try for those chasing a high-quality, affordable option.

Wine tasting journey that is fairly generic, with a clean tail and a slight almond note that is present but not in particular pronounced.

What the web is saying

Antonio Caggiano Falanghina presents contrasting experiences across vintages, with newer releases showing vibrant banana, tropical fruit, and citrus notes balanced by refreshing acidity. While praised for velvety texture and value, older vintages receive criticism for deterioration and excessive sharpness. Opinions vary from 'truly fantastic' to 'generic', with consistent mentions of mineral undertones.

Voss Experts4.5

This Falanghina from Campania presents a luminous straw-yellow hue, offering an aromatic bouquet of ripe apricot, white peach, and a hint of Mediterranean herbs, underscored by a subtle minerality. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure with a vibrant acidity that enlivens the stone fruit core, complemented by nuances of almond and a whisper of saline. The finish is crisp and persistent, echoing the wine's mineral backbone. This wine exemplifies the regional character of Campania, showcasing both elegance and a refreshing complexity, making it a quintessential choice for those exploring Italian whites.
