What the web is saying

Almaviva Almaviva is praised for its rich, full-bodied character, with notes of blackberry, cassis, and plum. Many appreciate its smooth tannins and complex blend of flavors, including chocolate, forest floor, and vanilla. While some find it opulent and well-balanced, others feel it lacks depth or is overpriced. The wine's aging potential is frequently highlighted, making it a favorite for special occasions.

Voss Experts4.8

The Almaviva Almaviva is a deep and complex red wine, with aromas of blackberry, black cherry and violet. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a fine balance between tannins and acidity. The flavors of black fruits, spices and toasted oak are persistent and intense. The finish is long and velvety, with a hint of pepper. This is an exceptional Chilean red that will reward with its complexity and finesse.

We are 50+ wine professionals (sommeliers, buyers, MW candidates) across the US, UK, France, Greece, Italy, and beyond. We review wines via blind tastings with a standardized rubric, using both 100-point and 5-star scales.
