Luigi Zanasi founded the winery in 1900. In 1978, Bruno, with the support of his children, purchased 11 hectares of land from Count Ranuzzi Dei Bianchi of Bologna. Owned by the Zanasi family, the estate is guided by Marco, with his wife Mara, alongside Marinella and assistance from his brother Matteo.

The estate vineyards are situated in the foothills and hills of the Modena Apennines near Monte Cimone with clayey soils and veins of sand. Il Secolare vineyard is in Castelnuovo Rangone at 90 meters above sea level on clay, sand, and limestone soil, trained using a historic tree-trained system. Il Cristo vineyard is in Bomporto on predominantly sandy soil enriched by the Secchia and Panaro rivers. Grassing between vine rows is practiced to protect biodiversity. Wines are produced exclusively from estate-grown grapes, and grapes grown include Lambrusco Grasparossa and Lambrusco di Sorbara. Its wines include Antica Natura Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro D.O.P.
On VinoVoss, Zanasi has 1 wine in stock: 1 sparkling. Their average rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 5 ratings.
