Vicus

Vicus is produced from the estate vineyards of Tenuta Cavalier Pepe in Campania. The estate is owned by Angelo Pepe, whose daughter Milena graduated in viticulture and oenology in France. In 2005, she began making the family wines and running the estate, where she is the winemaker.

The Pepe family vineyards lie across Taurasi, Avellino, Tufo and the Irpinia DOC, at elevations between 1,200 and 1,700 feet above sea level on volcanic and calcareous soils. The vineyards are farmed using integrated farming practices, and the key grape varieties are Fiano, Greco, Falanghina and Aglianico.
