About Roots Run Deep
Roots Run Deep Winery was founded in 2005 by Mark Albrecht. To fund the first vintage, Mark Albrecht sold his house and nearly everything inside it, and friends and family helped turn it into a working winery. Winemaker Macario Montoya joined Roots Run Deep in 2017.
Montoya oversees all aspects of winemaking and vineyard partnerships. Fruit is sourced primarily from Napa Valley vineyards, alongside growers in Sonoma and other regions across California.
