Domaine Pierre Damoy traces its origins to Julien Damoy's purchase of vineyard lands in the early 20th century following the phylloxera crisis. Pierre Damoy took over the estate in 1992, representing the fifth generation of the family.

The estate is located in Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits, Burgundy. Its property includes nearly eight hectares of grand cru vineyards. The estate owns approximately 10% of the Grands Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin. It is the main owner of Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze, holding one-third of the total surface area. Furthermore, the domaine holds nearly a third of the Chapelle-Chambertin appellation and half a hectare of Chambertin. Domaine Damoy also holds a monopoly on Clos Tamisot. Many of the estate's old vines were planted in the 1920s. Farming practices include reduced yields, natural compost usage, and a ban on herbicides and pesticides.
