Michel Magnien represents the fourth generation of winegrowers, having worked from an early age on the 4-hectare estate of his father, Bernard Magnien, the third generation. In 1988, Michel Magnien took over his father's vines under lease and continued delivering the harvest to the cooperative in Morey-Saint-Denis. Then, in 1993, his son Frédéric Magnien joined the family estate and encouraged him to bottle the entire harvest.

Located in Morey-Saint-Denis on the Côte de Nuits, the 19-hectare family estate spans 14 appellations, producing 32 distinct cuvées across Grands Crus, Premiers Crus, Villages, and regional AOCs. Domaine Michel Magnien adopted organic viticulture in 2008, has followed the certification process overseen by Ecocert since 2012, and is certified biodynamic by Demeter. Its winemaking includes aging carried out partially in ceramic vessels to preserve fruit purity.
On VinoVoss, Michel Magnien has 14 wines in stock: 14 red. Their average rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 131 ratings.
