Nicolas Maillart’s family history may extend back to a 1533 vineyard measurement document prepared by Pierre Maillart, a sworn surveyor in Chamery, for the abbey of Saint Nicaise. Later, Nicolas Maillart returned to the family estate in 2003 after studying engineering and oenology.

The estate’s vineyards are situated in Ecueil, Bouzy, and Villers-allerand in the Montagne de Reims. The grapes grown are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Meunier, and Petit Meslier. In its vineyard farming, the estate uses organic fertilizers and plows the soils, carrying out as many tasks as possible by hand. The estate holds certifications for HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) level 3 and Sustainable Viticulture. In 2009, the estate installed 600 square meters of photovoltaic panels, generating 100% of its energy consumption.
On VinoVoss, Nicolas Maillart has 3 wines in stock: 3 sparkling. Their average rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 36 ratings.
