J.L. Vergnon is a Champagne producer based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the Côte des Blancs. Its vineyard was re-established there in 1950, and its first wines were made in 1985. Didier Vergnon has headed the estate since 1999, joined by his son Clément and Clément’s partner Charlotte.

The estate grows only Chardonnay, mainly in Grand Cru Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, with further vineyards in Grand Cru Oger and Avize and Premier Cru Vertus and Villeneuve. It practises sustainable viticulture, leaving grass growing in the plots and using no herbicides, an approach recognised by HVE 3 certification. After hand harvesting and same-day pressing, the musts are settled and divided between stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, while malolactic fermentation is avoided. Its wines include Brut Nature and Brut Champagnes, with dosage of 0 and 5 g/l respectively.
