Nicolas Idiart founded Maison Idiart in 2014 and is its winemaker. He graduated from Blanquefort winemaking school, then worked at wineries in the Loire Valley, followed by New Zealand and Australia.

Maison Idiart works with growers and uses natural yeasts. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc comes from vines averaging 35 years old, all planted in sandy clay soil. For this wine, the grapes remain in contact with their skins after picking, and the juice is tasted every one to two hours before pressing. Low-temperature fermentation in a concrete tank follows, and the wine is aged on fine lees.
On VinoVoss, Nicolas Idiart has 2 wines in stock: 2 white. Their average rating is 3.1 out of 5 from 7 ratings.
